Hopeful Future is a cocktail glass designed as an object originating from a possible future. The project is part of a speculative design approach and takes the form of a glass conceived as a projection artifact. It explores the evolution of uses, forms and rituals related to consumption through a single object, used as a medium for reflection.

The project was developed through the analysis of contemporary signals in order to imagine plausible future scenarios. The approach is based on a speculative design methodology inspired by the work of Anab Jain, where the object is used to materialize a hypothesis and question the present through a future projection.

Hopeful Future was first presented in April 2023 during the Milan Design Week (Milan, IT), as part of the exhibition Spirits: Excellent for the HEAD at the House of Switzerland. The project was then exhibited in 2023 at Petite Friture in Paris (FR) during Paris Design Week. It was later presented at the Mudac (Lausanne, CH) as part of the exhibition Archives du design romand.
